Puma Adds LQDCELL Midsoles & Bright Colors to the Optic Sheer

Puma’s LQDCELL technology is slowly taking over over their catalog, as the new underfoot cushioning is added to more silhouettes across all categories. This month, the sleek Optic Sheer makes its debut in a colorful Summer look, packed with new LQDCELL cushioning.

Puma’s innovative CELL technology first debuted back in the 1990s, giving the Cat an advantage in the department of cushioning technology. At the time, the new underfoot material created pockets of air inside hexagonal prisms, improving stability during lateral movements as well as dramatically increasing energy return. Now, two decades after its debut, CELL has evolved once more into the new LQDCELL, which increases the density and malleability of the cushioning, creating a more responsive midsole for the modern age.

This month, Puma continues to roll out the update LQDCELL technology on new silhouettes. The next shoe on the docket, the LQDCELL Optic Sheer, will hit retail shelves early next week. Featuring the bouncy CELL tech from heel to toe, the Optic Sheer also features an interesting new upper, which blends sheer, almost translucent fabric with bright colors and mismatched overlays.  For instance, the patented Puma Formstrip on the lateral side appears three times, one totally see-through, with two others behind it in contrasting orange and green tones.

Puma’s latest LQDCELL silhouette for men, titled the Optic Sheet, is scheduled to make its debut next week, on July 18th, 2019. The sleek new running-inspired silhouette will carry a cool retail price of just $110, and release from both Puma and select retailers.
